This weekly meme is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and all you need to do to participate is answer the following three questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What have you recently finished?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I only have a couple of hundred pages left of Priory of the Orange Tree and I am really dreading saying goodbye to these characters. The only thing that would prevent me from giving this book five stars is if there isn’t some crazy climax that comes from all these story building we have been doing.

I am 56% through The Woman Before Wallis and I am so fascinated by the story. I haven’t wanted to spoil anything for myself so I have been refraining from looking up how much of the story is based in factual history. I know that the main plot of the book is true but there are so many details and side characters that I am intrigued by. I used to read a lot of Tudor history (mostly fiction but there was the occasional non fiction) and I am loving getting to know the royal line again. Although, as the title suggests, this book is about Thelma Furness and we just see the royals as they pertain to her. There is also a side story involving Thelma’s twin sister, Gloria Vanderbilt, and her scandalous custody battle. We have been getting glimpses of that story and I just want to know how it all ends up!

What have you recently finished reading?

These are the books that I have finished this week. I will have a review coming tomorrow for All Boys Aren’t Blue (and my two other Blackathon reads).

Blog Tour: No One Saw by Beverly Long

What are you planning on reading next?

I spun the wheel (just a wheel app) and the first prompt I got for the Pop Culture Readathon, Thriller card, was What’s Your Favorite Scary Movie, which translates to read a book by one of your favorite authors. I have been dying to read this book since I first heard about it and I’m so excited that the time is finally here to read it! I just found out that this book is the Literally Dead Book Club pick for August but at least I will have it read for the live show.
