I’m back with another round up of older Netgalley reads that I never got around to reviewing. I think I only have one more of these to do before I’m finally all caught up.

Evil in Me is a great coming of age horror that absolutely transfixed me when I read it a couple of years ago. I’ve read probably two hundred books since then and I can still vividly picture scenes from this book in my mind. The horror is unsettling and brutal at times with a fun music plot that I adored. This is a supernatural horror that reminds me of summer so this would be a great one to pick up soon.

The Decagon House Murders is Ayatsuji’s take on Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None. This was a fun and cleverly deceptive story but with a lot of characters to keep track of. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the killings were well thought out but overall the pacing kept this from engrossing me further.

This is the fourth and final book in the Witchlore series and this one was my favorite. It has a dragon shifter and is full of lots of magic and uncovered secrets. We also finally got the battle between our witch coven, Riverwood, and the old coven that has been causing problems for our protagonists the whole series. I loved the romance in this one and I was sad to say goodbye to this series.

Missing is a debut police procedural that is trying to solve the murder of a woman who was involved with a missing baby case thirty years prior. The fault with this book is that it spends 40-50% of the beginning having us follow as our protagonist detective works on the missing baby case. Then we transition to trying to solve the current murder. The book would have been significantly better if we had switched between the two cases. The story would have been more intriguing with an actual suspense element.
