Dewey’s readathon

Dewey’s readathon check in: Hours 5-10

My family and I went to a nearby pumpkin patch since we were too sick last weekend to go. We ended up staying much longer than I thought we would. They had an awesome corn maze that took us close to an hour to find our way out. It was a lot of fun but now that I’m home again I’m ready to get my reading on.

I finished Moon of the Crusted Snow and I ended up giving it 4 stars. I will post a wrap up tomorrow of all the books I read with mini reviews since those tend to take more time than this quick update.

Right before we left I stated listening to The Women Could Fly. I had no idea that it is set in a world where witches are real. I only got to two chapters but I’m looking forward to reading more.

In the car I got through a few chapters of this short cozy mystery. Leighann Dobbs writes one of my favorite cozy baking series so I preordered this one once as soon as I heard about it. This is about a rich older lady who is throwing a Halloween party complete with a haunted house. Except for the pretend corpse in the coffin there is a real one. This book is such a good time and perfect for this readathon.
