Review
This is a fun, spicy, slow burn romance that had me swooning and laughing. I love small town stories, especially ones that revolve around food, so this book was obviously right up my alley. While Maize is a great heroine (with food that I am dying to taste!) I also found myself annoyed with her because I just wanted her to get with Gavin. Gavin is such a sweet cinnamon roll of a hero and I couldn’t get enough of him! The romance between Gavin and Maize is a lot of back and forth, two steps forward, one step back and I was dying over the way they were with each other. I also loved how everyone around them picked up on the chemistry between them and would comment on it. All the characters in this book were hilarious and I definitely want to read more of this series to get to know them all better. If you are looking for a fun and spicy romance than this is the book for you. I flew through this because the characters were so entertaining and the romance was so angsty that I just wanted to know what was going to happen next.
