This fun weekly meme is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and all you need to do to participate is answer the following three questions:

-What are you currently reading?

-What have you recently finished?

-What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I technically haven’t started The Dark Lake yet but I have it all ready to go on my Kindle to read tonight. I am so excited to finally read it and it is my second read for the Hey Readerathon.

I started reading White is for Witching and I am really loving it so far. It is my first Oyeyemi book and I am so in love with her writing and the way the story is formatted. This gothic haunted house story moves seamlessly between narrators and timelines. There is a trigger warning for anorexia so please be aware of that.

I am still keeping up with my Shirley readalong for Victober and I am obsessed with this book. I cannot believe how long it sat on my shelves unread when I am loving it so much. The Bronte’s are probably my favorite authors or at least right there at the top of the list. It took awhile to meet Shirley but she is the feminist queen that I was hoping for and all the other aspects of this book are incredible. I honestly cannot rave about this book enough and I look forward to reading my chapter of it a day.

What have you recently finished reading?

Wrangling the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox

Lord of London Town by Tillie Cole

I just finished The Last Flight right before starting this post so I’m still gathering my thoughts about it. I think it is a four star read but I am not really happy with the way it ended. It is a really great suspense novel that I flew through because I just needed to know what was going to happen next.

Beyond All Reasonable Doubt is a Nordic Noir novel that deals with some pretty heavy topics like, rape, incest, and murder. Like any Nordic Noir it is very graphic and can be difficult to read. I read this book for the ScreamAthon prompt Gale Weathers which is to read a book with an unlikeable character and wow I nailed it because so many characters in this were unlikeable. I am hoping to have a review up for this next week.

What do you think you’ll read next?

The Dark Lake is my second read for the Hey Readerathon and I am so excited to finally read it. It has been on my TBR for at least two or three years and I feel like it is going to be a five star read for me.

I just got Invisible Girl in the mail today and it is one of my most anticipated books of the year so I need to read it ASAP. I also keep seeing people on Instagram raving about it so I just need to see for myself how amazing it is.
