This absolutely hilarious book follows Teagan who on her 39th birthday makes a bucket list of things she would like to accomplish before turning 40… including losing her virginity. This leads to Teagan going on various dates while also dealing with a huge project at work with her boss, Grayson.
Teagan is the best main character and her humor had me rolling in laughter. Another fantastic aspect of this story are Teagan’s family and friends. This cast of characters added so much heartwarming fun and endless support that I can’t help but hope that Paxson writes more books involving this friendship group. There was also a scene in this book containing all the characters where I was actually crying with laughter which I have to say a book has never done to me before.
Grayson is the swooniest book boyfriend ever and I was dying over how perfect he is. I loved the chemistry and conflict between him and Teagan. I feel that their relationship was very realistically done and I enjoyed seeing their friendship and romantic feelings grow. I loved the many ridiculous situations Teagan and Grayson would find themselves in and how they managed to get through them together. Also, the many dates that Teagan went on were so hilariously perfect and outlandish that I found this book hard to put down.
This is easily one of my favorite books that I have ever read and I will definitely be rereading it soon. Teagan’s character reminds me of a grown up version of Georgia Nicholson (although we can all agree that she would never be a 39 year old virgin) but if you loved those books then I think you will also love this one.
