You would think being stuck at home all the time would mean that I am getting more reading done but in reality I’m really struggling to concentrate with everything going on. I know that I am not the only one that is feeling this way and I see a lot of people recommending shows to binge but I thought it would be fun to share my favorite booktubers. I tried to come up with people that you might not already know of in the hopes that you might find at least one new person to follow.
For fans of History
I have an interest in history but it is not something that I read all that often. Maybe one or two books a year at the most but I enjoy Peg and her passion for the genre. I also have learned a lot of history just from watching her videos which I have used to impress my dad, ha!
If you’re interested in University/Classical Studies vlogs
I find University/College vlogs so interesting and I feel like I learn so much from Emma about what it is like to be a student with an English major. Her weekly vlogs are my favorite and I appreciate how much of an effort she puts into them. Emma also has been dealing with a concussion and she has been pretty open and honest about how it affects her. I found her videos about a week after I got out of the hospital and it has meant so much to me to have someone who understands what it means to have a chronic debilitating condition. I still don’t have a diagnosis but my neurologist has narrowed it down to two things and I will be redoing some tests in June to see if we can finally get confirmation.
For the romance lover
I feel like Jessica is pretty well known but to me she has the best romance content. She has recently started branching out a little with her reading but she still is where I learn about a lot of new romance coming out. Jessica also has the best recommendation videos for almost any kind of trope you can think of.
If you like in depth reviews
Jess isn’t not a booktuber in the sense that she has lots of other fashion/makeup content but her book videos are my favorite. She has studied literature in-depth in University and I love the way she talks about books. Jess reads a lot of literary fiction and award winning fiction so she always helps me learn about what’s going on regarding those types of books.
