Dewey’s readathon

Dewey’s 24 Readathon TBR

Tomorrow morning at 5 am PST begins my favorite readathon of the year. I look forward to the Dewey’s Readathon all year long since it is the only time I truly try to read 24 hours. There is also a Dewey’s readathon in the Fall but there is something about the warmer weather that just makes the Spring one feel special.

I thought it would be fun to put together a list of what I may pick up tomorrow and then wrap up on Sunday and share what I actually read. I’m hoping to get through some manga, some short reads and hopefully one and maybe two bigger novels.

Manga

I have volumes 6 & 7 of Tokyo Ghoul out from the library. I have volumes 10-16 out of Promised Neverland checked out from the library. I will most likely read both volumes of Tokyo Ghoul and at least a couple of the Promised Neverland. The story is so good though and I read the last five in practically on sitting so I might just get through all these manga volumes.

Short Reads

This is a very large selection of primarily horror books that I have been wanting to get to for the longest time. Half of these I own physically and the other half I have on audio. I want to make sure I have things I can listen to since I still have things I need to get done around my house and also to give my eyes a break.

Other Reads

I was supposed to read the first two books in the Heroes of Olympus series and that will not happen. I do want to at least start the first book, The Lost Hero, this weekend. I decided to use Love in the Time of Serial Killer for my Buzzwordathon pick. This one I have the best chance of finishing tomorrow but if not I will have hopefully read a large chunk of it. I’m starting Ninth House tonight since it’s the last book on my Magical Readathon TBR. I’m so happy that I will have successfully finished a TBR and I have been looking forward to reading it for so long.

  1. Nice, a lot of spooky/creepy reads for this challenge. I love that! I can’t wait to hear what you think of the two short stories by Kealan Patrick. I read Sour Candy by him and really enjoyed it. I need to check out more by him. I also can’t wait to hear what you think of Horror Hotel & Tell Me I’m Worthless, both have great covers.

      1. I can’t wait for you to eventually pick up Sour Candy. Oh man, that happens to me all the time. I get super excited for a book and will preorder it and then just let it sit there. Just book lover problems.
