Happy Wednesday! This weekly meme is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and all you need to do to participate is answer the following three questions.
What are you currently reading?

I’m around 70% done with 11/22/63. I went into this book not really knowing what to expect except that it revolves around the Kennedy assassination but it is so much more than that. I’m enjoying the glimpse into life in the 60’s as well as how our protagonist, Jake, navigates his way through living back then and his different plans.
What have you recently finished?

So far this month I’ve finished three books. Although Percy Jackson was mostly read in January. I loved The Sea of Monsters more than the first book in the series and I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series later this month.
Bloodline Vampire series review
I don’t know why I keep picking up these Juniper Holiday cozy mysteries since I don’t love them. But something about them is silly and fun even though they are so short and I want more substance from them. Although, Masquerade Party Murder felt like an oddball in the series so far since it focused almost entirely on Juniper. We didn’t really get to see the detective and hardly any investigation into the murder. It mostly felt like a prequel novel for the Valentine’s book coming out this Saturday. Which I have of course preordered and will be reading next week. Since I’ve come this far I might as well finish the entire series.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Once I read this book I will have finished the Holiday with the Wongs series! I’m really knocking out these holiday themed series this month.
Synopsis:
Amber Wong has landed her dream job at the Stratford Festival, and life is looking good. Sure, she hasn’t had sex in so long that her condoms have expired, but she’ll just pick up some new ones, along with some discounted Christmas chocolate, at the grocery store.
And that’s where she runs into Dr. Sebastian Lam, the son of her parents’ close friends, whom she hasn’t seen in years. He’s moved back to Ontario, newly single, and… Oh my God. He’s really hot.
The attraction is mutual and no-strings-attached sex is the perfect arrangement for both of them, since Amber has sworn off dating after a string of terrible boyfriends.
But what if their families find out they’re spending time together and start interfering in their lives? That would be a disaster.
Even worse? If they develop feelings for each other, given a relationship is the last thing Amber wants right now…

I read that Stephen King book when it was first published and it was such a slog for me. I loved the time travel aspect and the storyline involving the romance, but I really didn’t enjoy the Lee Harvey Oswald parts.

I can see that. There’s not a lot of action until the end and then it slows back down again haha
