This weekly meme is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and all you need to do to participate is answer the following three questions:
What are you currently reading?

I’m doing a buddy read of The Lightening Thief with Krys from Krys’ Corner on Youtube in preparation for the new Percy Jackson book coming out in May. The Lightening Thief is the only Percy Jackson book that I’ve ever read and I’m looking forward to actually reading the whole series. I’m loving this more the second time around then I did the first which I didn’t expect. I think it’s because I’m picking up on all the clues since I know some of the story plus I know more mythology this time around.
I’m finishing Just the Nicest Couple up for a blog tour post that’s due tomorrow. I took a few weeks off from looking at my emails and so I signed up for this one very last minute. I’ve loved every Kubica book I’ve read so I was thrilled to get a chance to read this one early. So far I’m enjoying the journey this book is taking me on and the atmosphere is exactly what I was wanting.
Snoypsis:
Two couples, two close friends, one missing husband…
Jake Hayes is missing. This much is certain. At first, his wife, Nina, thinks he is blowing off steam at a friend’s house after their heated fight the night before. But then a day goes by. Two days. Five. And Jake is still nowhere to be found.
Lily Scott, Nina’s friend and coworker, thinks she may have been the last to see Jake before he went missing. After Lily confesses everything to her husband, Christian, the two decide that nobody can find out what happened leading up to Jake’s disappearance, especially not Nina. But Nina is out there looking for her husband, and she won’t stop until the truth is discovered.
What have you recently finished reading?

I read The Brush of Black Wings and The Promised Neverland Vol. 4 over the weekend for the weekend edition of The Final Book Support Group. My favorite thing about The Promised Neverland series is that all the endings have left me shocked and wanting more. My library doesn’t have the next few volumes so I put a request to get them from a nearby library so I will hopefully read those when they come in. (I’m hoping to marathon more series this year so I don’t leave series hanging for so long!)
The Brush of Black Wings was a great story in the Master of Crows world but it has left me confused at what order I’m supposed to read Grace Draven’s books. The Brush of Black Wings seems to tie into a different series of hers but there are still more books in the Master of Crows series. I think I might just go back and read all her books in publication order.
Next week I will have reviews up for The Death of Vivek Oji, A Gentleman in Moscow and Ducks, Newburyport, Each of them has unique storytelling and beautiful writing and will be books that I remember for a long time.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I borrowed this book from my brother ages ago and I put it on my 23 books to read this year list so I decided to just jump right into it. I feel like this could be a five star read and I’m planning on reading it in parts. It’s split into 6 parts and this way I can read other things and keep my reading momentum going.
Synopsis: On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. Unless…
In 2011, Jake Epping, an English teacher from Lisbon Falls, Maine, sets out on an insane — and insanely possible — mission to prevent the Kennedy assassination.
Leaving behind a world of computers and mobile phones, he goes back to a time of big American cars and diners, of Lindy Hopping, the sound of Elvis, and the taste of root beer.
In this haunting world, Jake falls in love with Sadie, a beautiful high school librarian. And, as the ominous date of 11/22/63 approaches, he encounters a troubled loner named Lee Harvey Oswald…

Great to hear you enjoyed a re-read like me this past week 😊 I wish you more happy reading and here is my WWW post for this week: https://thebookwormchronicles.wordpress.com/2023/01/11/%f0%9f%93%9a-what-i-have-been-reading-this-week-11th-january-2023-wwwwednesday/ 🙂
