May Wrap Up

Last month was a disaster between my Rituxan infusion and my family getting Covid but I still managed 22 books the first 3 weeks of the month. I didn’t read anything for over a week until June hit and then I finally started reading again. Granted most of these are smaller reads but I’m still pretty proud o all these reads especially since a lot of them have been on my TBR for awhile. There were a few readathons that helped me achieve reading so much so I will try to group books based on why I picked them up.

Blog Tours/Books gifted by publishers

*I missed four blog tours while I was sick which is unfortunate so I will be working on getting those done this month.

Summer’s Edge by Dana Mele

Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak

The Dachshund Wears Prada by Stefanie London

Bad Things Happen Here by Rebecca Barrow (review to come closer to publication date on June 28)

72 Hour smut readathon

This was a readathon hosted by Ry’s Reading Corner on Youtube and a few of her friends. They made a light romance wheel and a dark romance wheel that were filled with prompts to help choose your reads for the three day readathon. Of course, I used the dark wheel the whole weekend.

Medicine Man and Twisted Games were both four star reads. Hate was a five star read and I’m now working my way through the whole series.

The Final Book Support Group

This was a two week readathon hosted by Steph from StephLoves on Youtube. The point of this readathon was to read all the sequels that you could. There was a bingo board but I didn’t even look at it. Instead I just mood read sequels in addition to other books that I read during the first two weeks of the month.

Bookopolathon

This was a weekend readathon hosted by Becca from Becca and the Books on Youtube. She uses two past Boookopoly boards to do roll drops every 12 hours. I successfully combined both prompts to come up with four books to read. This was the weekend that we started going down with Covid so I started the fourth book (Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie) but just finished it yesterday so you will only see three here.

Summer Queen by Amelia Wilde was for the roll drops of small book and Gods. This is the second book in a Hades and Persephone dark romance.

Nothing But Blackened Teeth by Cassandra Khaw was for ebook or audiobbook and color in the title.

Bad Things Happen Here by Rebecca Barrow was for young adult and spooky vibes.
