I took just over a week off from blogging so I have a bigger haul to share today since it is two weeks combined. I have no idea how many Kindle books I purchased but I feel like it is a fair amount. I recently unsubscribed from Kindle deals because I’m always tempted to buy something from them. I still have my BookBub daily deals but they also have free books on there so I feel like it is a better option for me since I am trying to cut down how many Kindle books I’m buying.

But one unfortunate autocorrect incident sent to a sexy man with a commanding presence that could not be ignored and a smile that made my toes curl might just change all of that.

“Marry me,” Mac said. “To save the vineyard. It’ll be strictly business.”
He’s right, Winifred (Fred) Cartwright thought. It was just a contract, a way to access the money tied up in her inheritance. It didn’t mean anything.
She mustn’t think about his broad shoulders. About the intriguing tattoo that curled around his arm, how his muscular body gleamed when he worked in the warm sunshine, or how his ocean-blue eyes heated her from the inside out.
She mustn’t think about the stolen kiss, the way he’d slipped his arm around her waist to pull her against him. The soft touch of his lips on hers.
“It’ll be strictly business,” he repeated.

What if my dad’s best friend finds out all my books’ sexy heroes are based on him?
If it hadn’t been for that mean professor sophomore year, I never would have written an essay about my crush on Navy surgeon Commander Aiden McBride. (Yes, he’s just as deliciously stern as that sounds.)
And if it hadn’t been for my new best friend Ingrid, I wouldn’t have thought to turn the essay into the steamy novel that launched my career as an indie romance author.
I’m grateful, really! There’s just a couple of teeny-tiny things I would do differently if I had it to do over again. But thankfully you can update ebooks, so nobody ever has to know. Phew!
I’ve never expected Aiden to see me as anything but his best friend’s daughter, and I’m okay with that. He mostly ignores me anyway. But graduation means I’m too old to hide behind a school-girl infatuation. It’s time to move on.
If he’ll let me, that is. Because somehow Aiden found out what I did. He’s not happy. And now I seem to be falling deeper in love. You can tell me the truth — am I totally screwed?
