This Saturday, April 24, is the next round of Dewey’s 24 hour readathon and I have decided to participate for the first time ever. My 11 year old is planning on joining me since he says he has a lot of books that he needs to catch up on. I don’t know where he gets that from 😉 The whole family will be supporting us by joining in with some reading and lots of snacking but Connor and I are both aiming to read as much as possible on Saturday. I’m even thinking of letting him stay up and we can do the first hour from midnight to one before getting some sleep and going hard when we wake up. I will link to Dewey’s Goodreads group here where you can find all the info and a link to the Bingo board that they created. I have curated my TBR based on the board and I will be sharing all the book prompts here today. There are some other fun prompts involving food and what you wear. There are some reading prompts that I’m not even attempting because my goal is to read a lot of graphic novels and shorter reads which wouldn’t work for some of them. Like the oldest book on my TBR is a classic and that would take up a lot of the readathon just for that one read. Although you only need to read 50 pages for a book to count towards a prompt but I also want to be careful that I’m not starting things I can’t finish since I have been working on cutting down on my started books list. As always with my TBR’s I have come up with a book for each prompt and then I will just pick and choose on Saturday what I read and then for my wrap up I will come up with my (hopeful) different bingos.
