BOOK BLURB
From bestselling author, Dr. Rebecca Sharp, comes a sexy, best-friend’s father forbidden romance…
π πππ: Damien Milanovic was a pharmaceutical superhero, masked with gilded glasses and a starched white cape. Intelligent. Illustrious. Impermissible. He was the chemist who decided that curing cancerβcuring deathβwas worth the price of not living his own life.
π·π’ππππππππππππ’, how bad would it be if I had a crush on him?
π πππ: I was Lilith Montgomery, the smartest student in my class and the most popular girl in school. All I needed to graduate was to finish this chemistry internship with Dr. Milanovic. What I would learn would be invaluable to my future, but it wasnβt the only reason I was there.
π·π’ππππππππππππ’, how wrong would it be to use the internship as an opportunity to seduce the cold, captivating chemist?
π πππ: Damien Milanovic was also my best friendβs father.
π·π’ππππππππππππ’, how impossible would it be for us to fall in love?
Review
This is a fun, quick and dirty (in the best way!) forbidden romance novella. I do want to start off by saying that this entire novella is centered around Damien curing lung cancer so there is a lot of talk of cancer (including cancer puns) which can be triggering for some people so if you are at all sensitive to the topic then you should skip this book. This spicy romance features a 18 year old high school senior and her best friend’s dad, who is 20 years older than her. Damien is the stern, brooding hero who is solely focused on work. Lilith is the young, irresistible, woman who opens up his closed off heart and libido. They were definitely off the charts chemistry wise and I really appreciated that their relationship was not purely physical but also emotional. This is a short novella so there is a lot of telling and not showing but that is almost to be expected in this format. It is also impressive that in spite of how short this story is, it is filled to capacity with sex and science puns. I chuckled more than a few times at some of Sharp’s inventive wordplay. This is the perfect book to read if you are in the mood for something short and sexy that will definitely make you smile, if not laugh. I also think that if you are a fan of Alexa Riley and Saffron Kent that this book would be a great one for you.
