I am so proud of myself this month for showing some restraint and not going too crazy with my TBR. Although, it is still crazy because I decided to participate in the next round of the Tome Topple Readathon which is a two week long readathon. I feel like I was smart with my choices but I did only manage to get two books for that readathon on to my monthly TBR so we will see how productive I end up being. BUT I did make the decision to only do 8 spins of my TBR wheel versus the 12 I have been doing so hopefully by cutting myself some slack I will be able to get them all done. Also, I did my usual three Romanceopoly rolls and I am overly excited about all three of them so fingers crossed I get those read as well.
I will have a full readathon TBR up closer to the start date, August 8.
Also, this is not relevant at all to this post but if you saw my post yesterday you might be interested to know that I made it 36% through A Discovery of Witches and DNF’d it. Although, I might go back to it in the future but I just couldn’t take anymore. I want to like it so much but when we reached the second time Matthew watched Diana sleep I noped out of there.
I’m editing this to add that I completely forgot about my Literally Dead Book Club pick! This month’s pick is Home Before Dark but I read that last month so I’m reading last month’s pick this month. Yes, that is slightly confusing but we are just going to go with it. July’s pick was Zone One by Colson Whitehead so I will also be reading that this month.
