This book was such a fun, sweet romance. I love the meet cute way that Carrie and James meet and the story builds so well from there. I am so in love with how appreciative Jame is of Carrie and the way he can’t stop gushing over his feelings for her and her body. Carrie and James both have traumatic backstories that I really enjoyed seeing them overcome. The author does take some liberties with the overuse of gambling puns and metaphors (especially during one sexy scene) but they are fun if a bit much at times. This book is a short quick romance that I know so many people will enjoy! There is also a few instances of fat shaming (not by our hero) so please be aware of that if you decided to pick this book up.
