Haven just found out that her boyfriend is cheating on her and in her desperation to get away from him she runs right into his enemy, Wick. Wick ends up being Haven’s savior as they try to navigate the circumstances they find themselves in as well as their feelings for each other.

Wick is the ultimate cinnamon roll of a hero and my favorite book boyfriend. The way he takes care of Haven is the hottest thing about this book. Haven is a character who is obviously going through a lot of turmoil and I enjoyed watching her grow over the course of the book. Her ex, Topher, is one of the most toxic male characters that I have ever read and I couldn’t’ stand when he was on the page. Kage does an amazing job of bringing all these characters to life.

There was also an additional story that was being told in the campus digital newspaper and I love how much that added to the overall story. It was an incredibly creative way to tell the story and I am always in awe when an author is able to successfully “think” outside the box.

This was a really well done New Adult Romance with a fun supporting cast and a swoon worthy romance. Linda Kage also has a forbidden men series (that I can’t wait to read) and this book contains some characters from that series. If you like fun contemporary romances then I think you might also really enjoy this book.
