This weekly meme is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and all you need to do to participate is answer the following three questions:
What are you currently reading?
I started The Club Dumas last night and I’m already 70% of the way through. It is a fast paced and intriguing mystery but I do not like the way the author writes women and the sex scenes are awkward. They also add nothing to the book so it really takes away from the pacing of the story.
What have you recently finished?

So far this month I’ve read three books and wrapped up reading one leftover from October. I’m taking part in Netgalley November so I’ve been prioritizing the ridiculous amount of books on my Netgalley shelf.
Eileen was a rollover from October and it was an ok read. I gave it three stars because I liked the author’s writing but the story was lacking.
Deadstream and Pomona Afton Can So Solve a Murder are ARC’s that will be out in 2025. I really enjoyed both and will have reviews up on their pub dates.
A Wicked Game is a book that has been languishing on my Netgalley shelf (it came out in 2022!) but I’m happy that I finally picked it up. I will have a review for this coming up sometime soon.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I have the second book in this series on my Netgalley shelf so I want to read the first one before I dive into the second. They follow different characters but I’m not sure if the story builds on each other or if they are truly standalones.
A fake relationship between a magic-less witch and a wolf shifter turns to more in the start of a bewitching new paranormal rom-com series.
Magic-less witch Violet Maxwell wants nothing to do with alpha wolf shifter Lincoln Thorne―the man who broke her fragile, teenage heart. But when the two of them are forced by arcane Supernatural Laws to find mates, Violet and Lincoln agree to fake-date their way to a fake-mating in order to conjure themselves some time.
The joke’s on them. When old feelings make a reappearance―along with Violet’s magic―they both realize there’s nothing fake about their feelings. But there are old secrets and looming threats that could snatch away their happily ever after, again. One thing’s for magic doesn’t make dating and love any easier.
In Not the Witch You Wed, April Asher brings all the hilarity and sweet, sexy moments you love in a romantic-comedy―plus a fun dose of magic―to this spell-binding new series about being sexy, single, and supernatural in New York City.

I hope that your current read continues to be good.
I have a couple of Netgalley books left. Two are for next year though so we shall see if I get them done this month.
Have a great week!

I aim to reach your level of Netgalley success! I am proud of how I’ve been prioritizing them more this year though 🙂

😂 I only achieve it by purposely not looking at it then I don’t request too many. Also my requests tend to get ignored so I don’t get approved often. I have to go back and manually remove the request once the book is published 😶
I need to prioritise my own physical books. I have so many I need to read!

Oh, I didn’t know you could remove your request! Does it help your account to do that?

Yeah. When it says that the book is published I just remove it. I have no idea but it looks tidier 😂
