This weekly meme is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and all you need to do to participate is answer the following three questions:
What are you currently reading?

I had three Bakeshop Mysteries on my Netgalley tbr so I’ve been prioritizing them the past couple of weeks. A Smoking Bun is the second one on my list and I’m enjoying it more than the previous one that I read. They are fun cozy foodie mysteries with a great cast of characters. But my absolute favorite part of this series is the food. I literally want to make every single thing they mention in these books and it is hard to resist snacking my way through these stories.
Witness 8 comes out March of next year but I couldn’t resist reading it as soon as I was approved for it. This is only my second book in the Eddie Flynn series but it’s just as good as the first one I read. Cavanagh writes very fast paced, action packed legal thrillers that remind a lot of when I used to read James Patterson’s Alex Cross series.
What have you recently finished?

My review for Muffin But The Truth will be out tomorrow. I gave it three out of five stars.
After sitting unread for months I finally finished Kingdom of Ash. I got to 25% months ago when I first picked up and then it sat languishing. I had the urge last week to pick it back up and I am so happy that I did. I have been pretty critical of the Throne of Glass series but Kingdom of Ash broke me. I had no idea that I was so invested in these characters and I cried so much reading this book! I gave this book five stars and I am still in shock over how much I loved this story.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Another delicious installment in the Bakeshop Series set in Ashland, OR!
It’s late spring in Juliet’s charming hamlet, Ashland, Oregon. Spotted deer are nibbling on lush green grasses in Lithia Park, the Japanese maples are blooming, and Torte is baking a bevy of spring delights—lemon curd cupcakes, mini coconut cream pies, grapefruit tartlets, and chocolate dipped almond Tuiles.
Meanwhile, her friend Lance, the artistic director of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, is taking center stage with his new theater troupe—the Fair Verona Players. Their performance in Uva’s vineyard promises to be a modern, gender-bending twist on “The Taming of the Shrew,” but as the curtain rises, so do the strange occurrences. Stage mishaps and internal bickering threaten to derail the production. But as the curtain rises, the real show begins when the leading actor, Jimmy Paxton, meets his final curtain call. Now, Jules is not only in the mix, but she’s going to need to craft the perfect recipe for solving this theatrical whodunit.

I love books that involve food! The covers are all great too.
I need to read another Steve Cavanagh. I’ve only read Fifty Fifty but loved it!
Have a great week!
