I’m taking part in a ridiculous amount of readathons this month so at the end of this post I will have each book listed and what readathon I’m reading it for. There is a lot of crossover and I’ve been moving around the Spookopalthon board at a good pace so I wanted somewhere to keep an updated list.
What are you currently reading?

Yes, I’m still reading A Court of Silver Flames. I pick it up and read a little bit everyday but it’s just not as gripping as some of the previous books in the series. I have about 20 chapters left and I’m hoping the ending is good. I like this book more than ACOTAR and the ending of that book was incredible so I hope something similar happens in this book.
The Way We Live Now is my first Trollope book and I’m loving it! The chapters are flying by and I’m so gripped by these characters that I can’t wait to find out where the story is going to take them. The themes of this book are ones that we can still see in society today which further proves that the more things change the more they stay the same. From a selfish son who continues to take from his mother despite her being almost destitute, to the mother being ok with it because her son can do no wrong in her eyes, to men who can’t take no for an answer and shady business deals. This book has so much going on and I’m only ten chapters into a 800+ page book.
I’m 18 chapters (and these are long chapters!) into The Mysteries of Uldopho and we have finally reached Uldopho! I couldn’t believe it when we finally made it there but it has been done. Although, it probably feels so long because I have been reading this book since the end of July and missed a few weeks of reading it. There has been more happening lately in the story and our heroine, Emily, has been sticking up for herself more which I love to see.
Last night I started Haunting Adeline. I will probably finish this book tonight or tomorrow but I wont’ be able to pick the sequel up right away because of Halloweekendathon but I have a feeling that the cliff hanger will have me picking it up sooner rather than later.
What have you recently finished?

The Kastleton Sisters is a short novella about a powerful witch family. This story was pretty dark but fun. I knew it would be rushed because of the amount of pages and I found myself confused a couple of times but Kyeate made sure to explain things. I gave this three stars and I might read more Kyeate novellas during this month. I was looking at her list of books out and a lot of them sound perfect for this time of year.
I can’t believe I waited so long to read The Only One Left. I will hopefully have a review up next week for it but it was an easy five stars. It is in my top three of the year.
If I get my stuff together I will have my review of Daphne up this week. I gave this three stars. I thought it was an interesting read and had things I enjoyed and things that I didn’t.
What do you think you’ll read next?
The book you are about to read is an account of the tragedy that occurred at the reopening of Bonkin’s Bonanza one day in the summer of 1989. Some came looking for fun, like Candy Barton and her best friend, Leigh.
Others, like Rocky Rhodes and Sully Sullivan, came looking for a second chance. Instead, they would find a twisted, funfetti nightmare.
For many of the thrill-seekers and families visiting Bonkin’s Bonanza, that day would be their last. And the events that unfolded would go on to become infamously known as The Cotton Candy Massacre .

Well now I’m mad at myself for not picking up The Only One Left. I need to get on that. I’ve been distracted with e-arcs. I am excited to see what you think of The Cotton Candy Massacre. It sounds right up my alley!
