What are you currently reading?

I started reading Heartless a couple of days ago because I have a blog tour review for the second book in the series coming up. Actually, I thought my review was for tomorrow but I realized that it is for the end of July so I stopped reading this book to focus fully on my other book. This is was a fantasy romance between a fae and a mortal gamer girl and I’m captivated by both the story and the romance and I can’t wait to read more.

I’m almost done with The Darkest Secret and this was a way darker book than I thought it would be. We are following used to be married to each other FBI agents who special in bizarre crimes. Our heroine escaped from the Nursery Rhyme Killer when she was a teenager and has spent the entirety of her career trying to bring him down. She is reunited with her ex and his FBI team as they work to finally solve the NRK cases. Harlequin’s Love Inspired line means it is a Christian based suspense novel and she is definitely throwing a lot of both at the reader. After reading a couple of chapters of this I went on Pango Books and bought a small stack of Love Inspired romances including another one by Jessica Patch.

What have you recently finished reading?

The Sweetest Thing by Sasha Summers

My Killer Vacation was a 4.5 star read for me. I LOVED the romance and I swooned over how incredibly soft and sweet Myles was with Taylor. However, I wish the book had taken place over at least a couple of weeks and not a couple of days so they had more time to actually develop a relationship beyond stolen moments here or there. I also wasn’t a fan of the epilogue (no surprise there) but I always read them hoping it will be one that I love.
