Book hauls

April Weekly Kindle Haul #1

Happy Sunday! I have a bit of an unusual haul, for me, where all the books that I “purchased” are free (minus one that has already gone back to regular price). All of them are romance or cozy mysteries so if you enjoy those genres hopefully you will find something you like in this haul.

The Heart of Stone series moves into the next generation with Hard As Stone, a full-length novel featuring Tristan and Nina’s son, Ethan.

Trouble. Playboy. Heartbreakingly gorgeous. Ethan Stone, the only son and spitting image of billionaire Tristan Stone, has a long line of women who would kill for a night with him, and rumor has it he’s more than happy to oblige.

But Ethan has a problem. His family wants him to settle down. Why, he can’t understand. But he needs to figure out a way to convince them he’s given up his wild ways while at the same time living his life the way he wants to.

He has a plan, though, and Summer Carmichael, the quintessential girl-next-door, is perfect to help him. But Ethan better watch out or he might just find himself falling for exactly the kind of woman his family wishes he’d bring home.

Hotshot Evan Bishop was taught at a very early age that love was something to be taken seriously. The thirty-four-year-old alpha firefighter had only loved one woman his entire life, his childhood sweetheart who just told him she was engaged to another man. So when he locks eyes with a blue-eyed, blonde bombshell who has him falling fast at first sight, his instinct is to deny it, ignore it, and resist it.

Actress Shayne Fox was taught at a very early age that love was a luxury that she couldn’t afford. From growing up in foster care to working in Hollywood, the beautiful ingénue’s only concern was survival not love. So when she locks eyes with a tall, dark, and sexy stranger who has her wanting something that she never allowed herself to feel, her instinct is to dismiss it, suppress, and avoid it.

He was used to being in control of all things at all times but would he be able to control his heart? She was used to life giving her lemons but would she recognize it when it gave her love?

Sometimes the path of least resistance is the one that is the hardest to take.

Stand-alone Hope Falls romance, complete with HEA—and plenty of heat and heart along the way!

Sure, she has balls of wool stashed everywhere like a squirrel stores nuts and more needles than a tattoo parlour. But that doesn’t mean she has a problem, right?

Finding herself between jobs, Charlotte fills her time teaching crafting skills at the local nursing home. Encouraged by how positively the residents respond, the possibility of a career doing what she adores fills her mind.

The first step towards that ambition is creating a crafting hub for the community – The Crafternoon Sewcial Club.

When a local charity announces a major knitting-themed fundraiser, Charlotte sees the ideal stage to put her new club firmly on the crafting map and drum up new members in the process.

Unfortunately, not everybody is on board with her vision for a crafting club, as it turns out. Indeed, some are even hoping to see Charlotte’s dream come crashing down around her.

Still, she won’t let a minor issue like that derail her plans…

Sensation.

A sacred place free from judgement or inhibitions.
The only rule: Ask before you touch.

Sensation is an exclusive black-tie party attended by at least one hundred and fifty of the clubs most privileged members, and held once a month at an undisclosed mansion in Beverly Hills.

You may watch.
You may interact.
You can come together or you can choose to come alone.

The choice is yours.

Would you like it rough?
Would you like to be caressed and worshipped?
Or would you simply like to observe?

What do you desire?

She’s my best friend’s kid sister.
Only she’s not a kid any more.

As a forest ranger, I believe in the simple life. I prefer cabins to apartments, trails to freeways, and trees to people. My life is orderly, predictable, and quiet.

Until it’s hit by a woman I never saw coming — Hurricane June.

She’s fierce. She’s feisty. She has a laugh like the first day of spring, and she’s so pretty that I can’t breathe when I look at her. June will only be in town for a few months — just while job-hunting. She won’t last until winter, but how can I resist?

Except I have to. She’s my best, oldest, and most loyal friend’s baby sister.

Betraying him would be the worst thing I’ve ever done. Not betraying him might be the hardest.

Especially once we start working together on a secret project. All this spending time together, sneaking around at night, and lying to her brother about what we’re doing sure feels like more than friendship.

June might break my heart. Her brother might break my nose.

But I guess some things were made to be broken.
