I have been wanting to read a Pam Godwin book for the longest time and when I was looking for a book to read on my Kindle before bed she popped into my head. Dark Notes is the first Godwin book that I bought so it seemed like the best place to start. It is a dark sub/dom romance between a 17 year old student and her 27 year old teacher. I only have a few chapters left and I have to say this isn’t my favorite forbidden romance that I have read. I do feel for Ivory and she has been through so many heartbreaking things but I can’t quite connect with the romance. This will probably be a three star read for me depending on the ending.

My plan was to have finished Marion Lane and the Midnight Murder by now but I didn’t read that much over the weekend since it was the last weekend before my older boys went back to school. I only have 50 minutes of the audiobook left and I’m curious about what’s going to happen since the big mystery was just solved. My guess is that it is setting up the next book in the series which comes out next year.
