This fun weekly meme is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and all you need to do to participate is answer the following three questions;
- What are you currently reading?
- What have you recently finished reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
I have only barely started The Ivies so I don’t have a real grasp of the story yet. So far the writing seems decent but I’m really not far enough into the story to say either way.
I started reading His & Hers during Dewey’s 24 hr readathon and I’m about half way through. I have been dealing with a lot of fatigue since my infusion so my reading has really slowed down but I’m hoping to finish this one soon. So far it seems like this whole book takes place during one day and I’m eager to see how it ends.
I started reading Hummingbird Salamander before the readathon started last Saturday and I haven’t gone back to it. I’m around 35% through this one and I have absolutely no idea where the story is going. I am really enjoying Vandermeer’s slippery, ominous writing and I will be picking this one back up as soon as I finish His & Hers.
What have you recently finished reading?
I actually DNF’d Confessions from the Quilting Circle by Maisey Yates because it deals heavily with the death of the characters Grandma but I did share a mini review of it yesterday as part of my blog tour post.
The Only Good Indians and And Then There Were None were books I read for Dewey’s 24 hr readathon and I will be wrapping that up on Friday.
I finished ACOTAR and gave it 2.5 stars. It was mostly boring and I didn’t feel any chemistry between Feyre and anyone let alone the person she was trying so hard to save. I’m hoping as the series progresses that I will enjoy it more.
Soulless was another book that was mostly boring but I did really enjoy the ending of this one so I gave it 3 stars. Next month I’m planning on starting the next arc in this series and this is the one I’m the most nervous for because Preppy does some very questionable things to women and I don’t know how Frazier is going to redeem him.
What do you think you’ll read next?
My buddy reading group is reading this one this week and I’m behind on reading it but it is a reread for me. I first read this back in 2016 but I never continued on with the series which I’m excited to do this time around with my group. I need to finish at least one of the books that I’m currently reading before I start this because I really don’t want the way that I’m currently feeling to turn into me carrying around even more partial read books.
I enjoyed His & Hers. Have a great week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
