What are you currently reading?
Ever since I finished Black Sun I have been in the mood for another fantasy and this is one that I recently purchased. I am only four chapters in so it’s still mostly world building but I am enjoying it and I can’t wait to see where this story is going to go.

Agent Under Siege by Lena Diaz
Her Texas New Year’s Wish by Michelle Major
The Shadows surprised with how much of horror this was. I was expecting a mystery and so I was pleasantly shocked by how dark this story is. It is very creepy and brutal. I really enjoyed it and while I saw some stuff coming other things came as a complete shock.
I read Black Sun in almost one sitting because I was completely captivated by this amazing fantasy. This is one of my favorite books of last year and I am eagerly waiting for the second book to get a release date so I can preorder it. I borrowed Black Sun from the library and I have already gone out and bought my own copy because I know that I am going to read it many times in my life.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’ve been wanting to read a Jacqueline Woodson book for awhile and January’s buzzword is dream so this book is perfect. I also think it will be a nice way to come out of a heavy fantasy read.

I’m almost half way through Jade City and the action scenes are so good! I don’t think I’ll end up loving it as much as Black Sun but it is still an enjoyable read š

Iām joining the buzzwordathon this year. My hope is to read 1 book every month for this challenge. I know it says to read them in the first week of the month but Iām cheating and counting it whenever I am able to get to it in the month.
