What are you currently reading?

I have really embraced Nonfiction November and I’m currently in the middle of these two fantastic books. If You Tell is a gruesome story of three women who together survived the absolute horror that was their mother. The Heartbeat of Wounded Knee is a wonderfully written history of Native Americans. I am very early into it but I’m learning so much and once again I can’t get over the narrative that is taught in schools. My third grader came home today talking about the ships Columbus sailed on and it is a real tragedy that this is what is taught in schools when its not even true!

What have you recently finished reading?

Maple Sugar Crush & Harrow Lake I will have reviews up for as soon as possible. I’ve been reading so much this month that I am now backlogged on posting reviews. I really enjoyed both and I would recommend them if they look interesting to you.

My review for His Beauty will go up on Friday. Just Be Her will go up on Saturday. Thank you to the authors for providing me with ARCs to review. Just Be Her is one of my favorite books of the whole year!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Continuing on with the nonfiction theme I will be picking this short epistolary book up next. I have heard nothing but amazing things about it and I feel like its going to be one of the most powerful books that I read this year.
