This was a quick and fun read that instantly gripped me and totally came alive in my mind. Pomona Afton is a spoiled heiress who stumbles across her Grandmother’s deceased body and is forced to try to solved her murder to get her inheritance back. Too bad her Grandmother wasn’t a very nice person which means there is no shortage of suspects. Luckily Pomona has her old nanny to help her through this mess who recommends she live with her son, Gabe who reluctantly decides to help Pomona.

Pomona was such a lovable character that I couldn’t help but root for. And the grumpiness of Gabe paired so well with the endless optimism of Pomona. And the author did an impeccable job with the humor in this book and I found myself laughing out loud many times. I also really enjoyed the mystery of the story and the way it all unfolded was well done.

This book is only around 250 pages so it is the perfect afternoon or weekend read that will truly bring the entertainment. I also recently found out that this is the start of a series and we will get more Pomona Afton next year!
