Happy September! I can’t believe we are already hitting the fall months. This month I’m taking part in the Autumn Equinox edition of the Orilium readathon hosted by G from the Book Roast Youtube channel. My character is a Necromancer so I need to complete eight prompts.
September 2-8 is the weeklong Final Book Support Group readathon but I keep a spinner wheel of sequels on my phone so I will just fit those in as I can during that week.
I also want to finish the last couple of books on my Summer TBR since I could only fit one on this list. And I am hoping to keep fitting in and prioritizing review copies throughout the month.

O: The Unfamiliars (have a person who doesn’t read for fun pick a book for you)
There’s only one person who doesn’t read for fun in my house and he thought it would be funny to pick the chunkiest book he saw first. I’ve already read this but it’s been about 20 years. I remember mostly liking the story so at least I get a chance to revisit my thoughts on it.
Nevada is mostly a long stretch of desert you cross on the way to somewhere else. And with someone else, if you’re lucky…because it’s a scary place. Headed down Route 50 in the brutal summer heat are people who are never going to reach their destinations. Like the Jacksons, a professor and his wife going home to New York City; the Carvers, a Wentworth, Ohio, family bound for a vacation at Lake Tahoe; and aging literary lion Johnny Marinville, inventing a gonzo image for himself astride a 700-pound Harley.
A dead cat nailed to a road sign heralds the little mining town of Desperation, a town that seems withered in the shade of a man-made mountain known as the China Pit. But it’s worse than that, much worse. Regulating the traffic there is Collie Entragian, an outsize uniformed madman who considers himself the only law west of the Pecos.
