This weekly meme is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and all you need to do to participate is the following three questions.
What are you currently reading?

I’m a few chapters into Queen of Shadows and I’m only reading this series to complete all Sarah J. Maas’s work. There is so much telling and not enough showing which makes me happy I started with her later work since I’m not sure I would have picked them up if I had read this first.
I also started Slaughterhouse-Five today. So far I’m hooked on the writing style and I can’t wait to get further into the story.
I joined SunBeam Jess’s read along of War and Peace. She broke it down so we will be finishing it in a few months. I feel like I read it in high school but I can’t remember for sure. Either way I’m finding it amusing but I need to go back and make a list of all the characters I’ve met so far.
What have you recently finished?

I started both of these in 2023 but these are my first two completed books of the year. Heir of Fire was the worst so far in the Throne of Glass series and I gave it two stars. I might do a series review of my thoughts on it as a whole once I complete it.
I have a full review coming next week on The Fury but I am obsessed with this book. It is not a book that will appeal to everyone but I think it is a wonderful piece of character work that struck a deep chord with me.
What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m not sure if I will pick this up next since I just decided today to take part in Winterween. My TBR for this month will be coming up soon but if I finish Slaughterhouse-Five before Friday then I will star this one. Although one of the prompts for that readathon is to read a book in the dark so I could go with this one even though it doesn’t really fit the theme of the readathon.
