Welcome back to the second part of my Summer TBR. This is a list of 20(ish) books that I want to get through this summer. I originally had a longer list but I tried to only pick ones that are screaming for me to pick them up now and/or give me summer vibes. Which doesn’t necessarily mean it is set in summer but that I could see myself devouring on a beach/lake/pool/lazy summer day.

I have read ACOTAR and got part way through ACOMAF before I put the book down and never came back to it for whatever reason. I want to reread this series from the beginning and hopefully read all of them this summer. Which I really hope I prioritize because I’m planning on reading TOG this fall so I’m all caught up on Maas’s books before the third Crescent City book comes out next year.
One text message. A chilling warning. A husband’s deadly secret.
After a devastating house fire leaves their lives in tatters, Justin and Megan are looking for a fresh start.
They’ve lost everything in the fire and are desperate to rebuild their lives and repair the cracks in their marriage.
But the old lodge they move into on the Treloar estate, with its crooked chimneys and dark foreboding walls, is more sinister than Megan ever imagined.
She tries to make the best of it for her husband’s sake, but the house is haunted by the secrets of Justin’s past.
And when she discovers a phone hidden in the loft, her world is turned upside down once again.
A chilling, anonymous text message carries a warning she can’t ignore.
Whatever you do, don’t trust your husband…
From the author of THE PUSH, a pageturner about four suburban families whose lives are changed when the unthinkable happens–and what is lost when good people make unconscionable choices
The Loverlys sit by the hospital bed of their young son who is in a coma after falling from his bedroom window in the middle of the night; his mother, Whitney, will not speak to anyone. Back home, their friends and neighbors are left in shock, each confronting their own role in the events that led up to what happened that terrible night: the warm, altruistic Parks who are the Loverlys’ best friends; the young, ambitious Goldsmiths who are struggling to start a family of their own; and the quiet, elderly Portuguese couple who care for their adult son with a developmental disability, and who pass the long days on the front porch, watching their neighbors go about their busy lives.
The story spins out over the course of one week, in the alternating voices of the women in each family as they are forced to face the secrets within the walls of their own homes, and the uncomfortable truths that connect them all to one another. Set against the heartwrenching drama of what will happen to Xavier, who hangs between death and life, or a life changed forever, THE WHISPERS is a novel about what happens when we put our needs ahead of our children’s. Exploring the quiet sacrifices of motherhood, the intuitions that we silence, the complexities of our closest friendships, and the danger of envy, this is a novel about the reverberations of life’s most difficult decisions.
What if the chance of a perfect life… put your daughter in grave danger?
Being a single mother is tough, but I’d do anything for my little girl Scarlet. I’d given up on my career as a voice actor when the call came, but suddenly I was the new narrator for a secret book from bestselling author Philippa Roberts, who has been missing for eight months. It was a lifeline for me and my daughter.
I hated that it meant leaving Scarlet with my ex in his perfect new home with his perfect new girlfriend. But I knew it was the right thing to do.
But as I start reading Philippa’s new novel, I start to wonder if it’s no coincidence that I’ve been chosen to narrate it. There’s something hidden in the pages of this book, I’m sure of it. Some clue to Philippa’s disappearance. And I don’t feel safe. I think I’m being watched. My room has been searched.
And then my ex’s girlfriend calls in tears and everything starts to click together. If I don’t find answers fast, I’ll lose more than my second chance. I’ll lose my daughter.

If he had been with me everything would have been different…
I wasn’t with Finn on that August night. But I should’ve been. It was raining, of course. And he and Sylvie were arguing as he drove down the slick road. No one ever says what they were arguing about. Other people think it’s not important. They do not know there is another story. The story that lurks between the facts. What they do not know-the cause of the argument-is crucial.
So let me tell you…

If he had been with me is also on my TBR! Great list 😊
