Ruthless Sinner was a steamy dark Mafia romance that had so many delicious moments. I adored Dante and Serenity both together and separately. Serenity is trying to find herself after graduating college and the death of a close friend while also dealing with an overbearing father who is trying to control her life. Dante is seeking revenge on Serenity’s father, Jason, and knows that means he needs to stay far away from her but once they lock eyes he can’t keep himself away from her.
The chemistry between Serenity and Dante is palpable and just gets better and better as the book goes on. I loved how they knew they needed to stay away from each other but the attraction and growing feelings they have for each other kept pulling them back together. When they started breaking down their walls and trusting each other with their stories I was mush.
The story with Dante’s Bratva was intriguing and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed that part of the story. Mafia romance isn’t my favorite trope because I tend to find the inner workings of it boring but this one had me glued to the page. I wasn’t expecting the direction that this book went and thought it was well done. I really admire that Summers was able to tell both a mesmerizing and spicy romance as well as a compelling story.
This book is just over 400 pages and I flew through it because I just wanted to know what was going to happen next. I also enjoyed getting to see glimpses of what the next book in this series is going to be and I’m looking forward to seeing how that all plays out.
