This fun weekly meme is hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words and all you need to do to participate is answer the following three questions:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

I do want to preface this post by saying that I am slowly coming out of a three week reading slump. At least, I hope I’m coming out of it! I am currently in the middle of so many books because I kept picking up books hoping they would bring me out of it. I have read four books in the last three weeks though, which is still really good but I still have all these partially read books and I think I’m just going to ignore them until I get back into the swing of things, ha!

What are you currently reading?

I am only one chapter into this but I am already so intrigued by the world that I find myself thinking about this book throughout my day. This is a mermaid story that deals with generational trauma and I can’t wait to delve more into the story. This novella is inspired by Daveed Diggs (Lafayette and Jefferson in the Hamilton musical) rap group, Clipping, and an award winning song that they have. After I finish this book I definitely will be looking up that song!

What have you recently finished reading?

I received an ARC of The Sea Witch by the author and if you love erotic romance you should check out her Wicked Villains world. Here is my review.

Darling Rose Gold is the one that got me out of my reading slump and I am now obsessed with Stephanie Wrobel’s writing. I will hopefully have a review up for this soon but wow this book was brilliantly told.

My love affair with Jayci Lee continues. I am proud to say that I have read all three of her books and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. Here is my blog tour review.

Another blog tour I took part in was for These Vengeful Hearts and this was such a fun YA thriller. This is another book that really helped pull me out of my slump because I wanted to keep reading to see what was going to happen next. I’m now learning that whenever I slump again in the future I should just read all the thrillers until I am out of it. But anyways, here is my review for These Vengeful Hearts.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I want to read The Loop soon because I have an ARC of it and it comes out towards the end of this month. Also, just look at all the amazing authors that have blurbed it! I requested this on Netgalley as soon as I saw it described as Stranger Things meets World War Z. I don’t know any more than that and I don’t need to know any more to be honest.

I started Nemesis during the Tome Topple readathon and I am honestly loving it but I hit a slow patch and it was obviously doing nothing for my slump. I hope to pick this back up and finish it by the weekend. Nesbo always has action packed endings so that shouldn’t be a problem.
